ABOUT | The pop story of Pope Wojtyla
“Aprite le porte” is a two-act pop opera that narrates the story of Pope Karol Wojtyla “from the stone mines to the Vatican,” as the subtitle states. The spectators have been immerged in a journey from the Krakow of 1940 to a Rome of the early ’90s surrounded by an emotionally engaging combination of light sound and dance show.
In this pop opera, the audience learned about the Karol Woytila’s life story, his friends and fellow adventurers, getting through the setting of the Nazi regime, the extraordinary events of the underground theater activity, the hard work in the mines, along with the most famous historical figures with whom he dealt with.
